The Orphan Avoidance Strategy

I made something new – and with it birthed the fear of its orphanization.

::I went through twelve variations of that word before settling on it::

Like Oliver’s “please sir may I have some more,” or unused database tables cluttering a relationship graph, or Harry Potter at number four Privet Drive.  All…left…alone.

The good news is, although orphans are abandoned, they generally ::eventually:: find  a home.  So if my commitment level ever feels like the mother taking forever in the grocery store while you’re waiting in the car and thinking she’ll never return, then I promise to leave the light on so we both have somewhere to go.
